ENQUIRE PHASE 3 - September 08 - March 09

Enquire 3 is an artist training programme of gallery based workshop delivery designed to address the Governments Cultural Offer 'Find Your Talent' needs. Eastern region Cluster partners include Fruitful Arts/ OUTPOST gallery, Sainsbury Centre Visual Arts and Kings Lynn Arts Centre/ Greyfriars ArtSpace and Norfolk Schools.

Partners have been working with team of emerging artists from the Eastern Region. The artists are learning to use exhibitions as a direct resource to inspire creative thinking and learning. They are devising original and exciting ways of enabling school children to interact with contemporary art and museum collections whilst exploring their own creative potential and having great fun on their Gallery visit. The artists rotate around the galleries so that they experience and respond to different environments, policies and teaching styles and develop continuing professional development by positively sharing the skills of experienced educators.

Enquire is an exciting national programme of projects that engage children and young people with galleries, the contemporary visual arts and artists. The projects are organised collaboratively by gallery educators, artists and teachers. They have the aim of exploring, assessing and articulating the special learning benefits to young people of working with contemporary art and the gallery space, and the programme offers extensive formal and non-formal Creative professional Development for all the professionals involved.

The enquire programme is funded jointly by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Children, Schools and Families as part of the Strategic Commissioning Programme for Museum and Gallery Education. The enquire programme is managed by Engage and has been developed in association with Arts Council England. www.en-quire.org
