SURE FUTURES AT THE PHOENIX CENTRE

Strictly Hands On - Sculpture tasters
Summer term 2006

Fruitful Arts artists dropped in for four sessions at the Phoenix Centre youth club in Mile Cross. They delivered four exciting, rapid-fire sculpture sessions, and over twenty young people were enticed to try their hand at casting, carving, collage & construction.

Strictly Scary Sculpture
August 2006

In this lively one-day drop in workshop,11-16 yr olds played a game of enormous consequences to trigger ideas for a truly original hybrid creature. Then they used their construction skills with willow withies, paper, mod roc and colour to make their sculpture really come to life.

August 2006

A group young people from Mile Cross, Catton and Hellesdon got to dream up, make plans for and build a piece of architectural sculpture in just one day.

They checked out some really audacious architecture on a slide show and then proceeded to make some pretty unusual plans using only electrical tape. Then they got to grips with some clever construction skills and created stunning buildings of their own.
